The 91st Sivagiri pilgrimage began in Kerala on Saturday. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated the event. The Chief Minister said that the great social reformer Sree Narayana Guru had given permission for the Sivagiri Pilgrimage to strengthen the sense of unity based on humanity, eliminating all caste differences that divide people. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will inaugurate the Thirthadana Maha Sammelan on Sunday. Nine conferences will be held in three days.
