Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar has greeted people on Janmashtami. In a social media post, Mr Dhankhar said, today, we celebrate the birth of Lord Krishna who epitomises love and devotion. He said, the teachings of Lord Krishna reaffirm the timeless message of the victory of righteousness over evil. The Vice Preisdent said, Lord Krishna’s profound wisdom, as envisioned in the Bhagavad Gita, would serve as an eternal guide to mankind in its pursuit of truth and righteousness. He called upon everyone to embrace Lord Krishna’s message of ‘Nishkam Karma’ in performing their duties. Mr Dhankhar hoped that this Janmashtami will bring peace, joy and harmony in the lives of people.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has greeted people on Janmashtami. In a social media post, Mr Modi hoped that the auspicious occasion of faith and devotion will infuse new energy and new enthusiasm in the lives of all countrymen.
