A local court in Maharashtra will today rule on the anticipatory bail plea of BJP MLA Nitesh Rane, son of Union Minister Narayan Rane. Santosh Parab a local citizen filed a complaint and had mentioned the name of Nitesh Rane in a lawsuit in connection with the fatal attack on him in Kankauli of Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra.
Meanwhile, Union Minister Narayan Rane was summoned by Mumbai Police on Wednesday for questioning but he did not appear. The BJP took strong objection to the Union Minister being summoned by the police for questioning in this manner.
