Sushant Singh Rajput Drugs case: Fugitive neighbor finally arrested by NCB

A drug smuggler has been arrested by the Anti-Narcotics Squad (NCB) in connection with the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. An NCB official said this on Friday. The arrested accused is a neighbor of late actor Sushant. His name is Sahil Shah alias Flaco and he is 31 years old. Sahil was arrested after returning to Mumbai from Dubai, an NCB official said.
Sahil’s name came up during the interrogation of the accused in a drug case related to Sushant’s death, the official said. He will be investigated in last year’s cannabis seizure case as well as in Sushant’s death in 2020, the official said. Sahil had been absconding for almost nine months after NCB officials first revealed his name in a drug case. In June 2021, Sahil had filed a petition to avoid arrest in the case after he claimed to be the prime suspect in the agency’s drug probe into Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. Earlier, the lower court had also rejected his bail application.
Sushant died in June 2020 at the age of 34. Following a preliminary investigation by the Mumbai Police, the NCB is investigating his death from a drug angle. The NCB arrested several people in September 2020, including Sushant’s girlfriend, actress Riya Chakraborty and her brother Shauvik. Rhea was jailed for about a month, while Shauvik was released on bail almost three months later. The case is still under investigation.
