In view of the surge in COVID19 cases, all schools and higher educational Institutes across Andaman and Nicobar Islands will remain closed till 31st January. Online education will continue. All tourist spots will remain closed for tourism activities till further order. All Parks, Gyms, Stadiums, Playgrounds & Yoga Institutes have also been closed. Social, Political, Sports, Entertainment, Academic, Cultural, Religious, Festivals related gatherings or congregations will be prohibited from today onwards.
All religious places, places of worship will also remain closed for public worship. Meanwhile, 96 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in A & N Islands yesterday while 25 patients recovered. The total number of active cases has reached 393. Out of total active cases, 389 are in South Andaman district and one in North and Middle Andaman district. The Other three cases are in Nicobar district.
