The government has said that procurement of Wheat in ongoing Rabi Marketing Season 2021-22 is continuing smoothly in the procuring States. Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution in a statement said that so far a quantity of 432.19 Lakh Metric Tonnes of Wheat has been procured which is all time high.
It has exceeded previous high of 389.92 Lakh Metric Tonnes of 2020-21. The Ministry said, wheat procurement in Rajasthan has reached all time high of 22.85 Lakh Metric Tonnes. It said, about 48.96 Lakh farmers have already been benefitted from the ongoing Rabi Marketing Season procurement operations with MSP value of over 85 thousand 356 crore rupees.
