The Government has distributed around 1.25 crore property cards under the SVAMITVA Scheme in the country. Out of these property cards, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has distributed 35 lakh property cards on the occasion of National Panchayati Raj Day.
The Ministry of Panchayati Raj informed that under the scheme, drone flying has been completed in 2.89 lakh villages. It further said that nearly 18 lakh participants have received training under Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA) in the current year, and a total of 42 panchayats were awarded based on their performance. The Ministry said that 21 lakh five thousand 628 Gram Panchayats have been approved, which have uploaded their Citizen Charters this year.
