In Punjab, 1027 new Covid 19 positive cases reported yesterday. The maximum 366 positive cases were reported from Patiala district followed by 149 from SAS Nagar and 103 cases from Ludhiana. Two Covid19 deaths were reported, one each from Ludhiana and Sangrur.
The Health Department said, 58 patients recovered and discharged on the day. According to Health Department, there are total two thousand 686 active Covid19 cases in the state now. Yesterday 16 thousand 56 samples were collected and 15 thousand 8 hundred 22 tests were conducted.
Health Department said, vaccination is in progress, yesterday total 1 lakh 35 thousand 69 persons were vaccinated on the day including 11 thousand 748 children in the age group of 15-18 years.
The 55 thousand 7 hundred 14 persons administered first dose of vaccine while 79 thousand 355 administered second dose of vaccine on the day.
