The Christian Community across the country appreciated Prime Minister’s meeting with the Pope Francis at Vatican City yesterday with great optimism. Archbishop of Bombay Oswald Gracias said that the significance of the meeting between Mr Modi and Pope Francis will show the necessity and the utility of collaboration.
He said, the Pope is very interested in India and he has often asked him and spoken about it. Oswald Gracias said that he thinks that it will result in greater communication and collaboration and it will be good for Catholic Church and India.
Archbishop of Cuttack-Bhubaneswar and head of churches in Odisha John Barwa said that Indian Christians are very glad that our Prime Minister has met our Pope. He said, surely, the relationship will grow. as we were looking forwards to this meeting for many years.
