PM Modi shares his experiences from Lakshadweep island

Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared his experiences from Lakshadweep and thanked the people of the islands for their hospitality. In a social media post, Mr Modi said, recently he had the opportunity to be among the people of Lakshadweep. The Prime Minister said, he is still in awe of the stunning beauty of its islands and the incredible warmth of its people. Mr. Modi said, he had the opportunity to interact with people in Agatti, Bangaram, and Kavaratti. He said the government’s focus in Lakshadweep is to uplift lives through enhanced development. In addition to creating futuristic infrastructure, it is also about creating opportunities for better healthcare, faster internet, and drinking water, while protecting as well celebrating the vibrant local culture. Mr. Modi said, the projects that were inaugurated reflect this spirit. He said, he had excellent interactions with the beneficiaries of various government schemes and it’s inspiring to see firsthand how these initiatives are fostering better health, self-reliance, women empowerment, improved agricultural practices, and more. The Prime Minister said, the life journeys he heard were truly moving.

He said, in addition to the scenic beauty, Lakshadweep’s tranquility is also mesmerising. It allowed him to reflect on how to work even harder for the welfare of 140 crore Indians. Mr. Modi said, that for those who wish to embrace the adventurer in them, Lakshadweep has to be on their list. He said, during his stay, he also tried snorkeling and it was an exhilarating experience. The Prime Minister said, the early morning walks along the pristine beaches were also moments of pure bliss. He said, Lakshadweep is not just a group of islands, it’s a timeless legacy of traditions and a testament to the spirit of its people. Mr Modi said, his visit has been an enriching journey of learning and growing. The Prime Minister said, for the last nine years Government has worked to enhance Lakshadweep’s progress and the resolve only got stronger. He asked, what can be more satisfying than the fruits of development reaching people from all sections of society? He also shared photographs from the islands.
