M_LekhiIndia and Bolivia have held comprehensive discussions covering the gamut of relations in bilateral, regional, and multilateral spheres.
Minister of State for External Affairs Meenakshi Lekhi recently met Bolivia’s Foreign Affairs Minister Rogelio Mayta during her visit to the country. During the meeting, discussions focused on several areas of importance including long-term partnership in the lithium and battery sector, cooperation in metals and minerals, health, and pharmaceuticals.
Ms. Lekhi also invited Bolivian nationals to make use of capacity-building support extended by India through various Specialised Centres of Excellence. Both sides exchanged views on global issues and developments of mutual interest, including reformed multilateralism and climate change.
Ms. Lekhi concluded her four-nation tour with a bilateral visit to Bolivia on the 20th of January, including Cuba, Guatemala, and El Salvador. It was her first visit to Bolivia.
