Uttar Pradesh govt recommends CBI probe into Mahant Narendra Giri’s death case

Uttar Pradesh government has recommended a CBI investigation into the death of the President of Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad and head Mahant of Bade Hanuman temple Narendra Giri. He was found dead in mysterious conditions at his Baghambari Math residence in Prayagraj on September 20. The inquiry has been recommended to the centre by the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Police has already file an FIR in the case and arrested the disciple Anand Giri whose name surfaced in the suicide note allegedly written by Narendra Giri. Prayagraj police has also set up a 18 member SIT of police officers for investigation of the case.
Yesterday the post mortem of the dead body of Narendra Giri was conducted and his mortal remains were given Samadhi at his Math as per his desire expressed in the suicide note.
