Union Minister Bhupender Yadav has met World Bank Country Director Junaid Ahmad. They had an engaging discussion on a range of issues. It included Climate Finance and Integrated Coastal Zone Management Plan and how the World Bank can contribute to it.
They also discussed the Social Protection Mechanism provided by India’s Labour Ministry.
They discussed how through different welfare schemes the government is reaching out to labourers and frontline forest workers and providing social security to them. Both sides have agreed to work together in this direction.
