Home Minister Amit Shah & BJP President J. P. Nadda to be in Assam from today

Home Minister Amit Shah will begin his three-day tour to North East today, October 7. In the first leg of his visit to Sikkim today, he will unveil a statue of Sardar Patel and take part in Dairy Conclave in Gangtok. He will reach Guwahati in the evening. He will be joined by the BJP President J. P. Nadda. Both the leaders will take part in various events in Assam including the party’s state core committee meeting this evening.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Union Ministers Sarbananda Sonowal and Rameshwar Teli, and state BJP President Bhabesh Kalita will also take part in the meeting. Tomorrow, both leaders will inaugurate BJP’s new state office at Basistha Chariali in Guwahati.

Later, they will address a rally of over 45 thousand party workers at Khanapara. AIR Correspondent reports that the Home Minister will also take part in the North East Council’s meeting in Guwahati and SP’s conference to be held at Dergaon on Sunday, October 9.
