In Tennis, Australian wildcard Priscilla Hon has claimed the biggest win of her career by stunning two-time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova 6-7, 7-5, 6-2 in the first round of the WTA International in Adelaide yesterday. Hon pulled off a head-turning upset in front of her home crowd. This victory was Hon’s first over a Top 20 player.
Ranked 263 in the world, Priscilla Hon was sidelined for five months last year after suffering a hip injury. The 23-year-old Australian was competing in her first WTA main draw since Lyon 2020.
