Delhi Air Pollution: Ban on entry of trucks carrying non-essential commodities extended till 30th Nov

Delhi’s Department of Environment and Forests has issued an order banning entry of trucks in the national capital except those carrying essential commodities from today till 30th of November. CNG and electric trucks carrying non-essential commodities have been allowed to enter Delhi.

The air quality in the national capital is presently in the severe category. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the overall Air Quality Index of the national capital was recorded at 405 today. An Air Quality Index between zero and 50 is considered good, 51 and 100 satisfactory, 101 and 200 moderate, 201 to 300 poor, 301 to 400 very poor, and 401 to 500 severe.
