The new king of chess; Bharat Subramaniam is the 73rd Grandmaster of India

Bharath Subramaniyam of India has performed brilliantly on the chess board. He proved his mettle on the chess board and became the 73rd Grandmaster in the country. He finished third and final in the tournament in Italy on Sunday, earning the title of Grandmaster. Chennai’s Bharat scored 6.5 points in 9 rounds to clinch the Grandmaster title. He finished seventh in the competition held in Catholica.
In this competition, MR Lalit Babu of India won the competition by earning seven points. In his form, India has got a new and emerging player on the chess board. He tied with top seed Anton Korobov of Ukraine (Ukraine) and three other players to clinch the title with his best tie-break score.
