Bhopal: India is returning to the roots of its civilization and culture, says MoS L Murugan in Chitra Bharati Film Festival

Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Dr. L Murugan said that in the present times, films are a powerful medium through which the word of India can be conveyed to the world. Dr. Murugan was addressing the concluding ceremony of the fourth edition of the three-day-long Chitra Bharati Film Festival at Ravindra Bhavan in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh yesterday.

AIR correspondent reports that Dr. L. Murugan said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while India is progressing continuously, on the other hand, it is also returning to the roots of its civilization and culture.

He also gave away a total of 10 lakh Rs cash prizes in five different categories on behalf of Bhartiya Chitra Sadhna, organizing body of the film festival.

Many well-known personalities including Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, Pallavi Joshi, Gajendra Chauhan, and Mukesh Tiwari were present at the closing ceremony.

In the short film category, ‘Choti Si Baat’ and in the documentary film category ‘Bharat – Prakruti ka baalak’ got the first prize.

Wherein, the film ‘The Last Hope’ in the Animation category, the film ‘Mask’ in the Campus Non-Professional category, and the film ‘Sansar’ in the Campus Professional category secured the first position.
