Maharashtra’s Kolhapur district is at the forefront of issuing golden cards under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. There are 14 lakh 61 thousand eligible beneficiaries in the rural areas of the Kolhapur district.
District Health Officer states that 13 lakh 37 thousand beneficiaries have drawn golden cards. Zilla Parishad Health Officer Rajesh Gaikwad informed that 92 percent of the total work has been done in the rural areas of the district.
The target has been achieved in Kagal, Bhudargad, and Chandgad talukas of Kolhapur district. Health Officer Gaikwad has appealed to remaining eligible beneficiaries from other talukas to withdraw golden cards.
