Gujarat is celebrating 73rd Republic Day today with traditional fervour and patriotism. State-level function was held at Somnath in Gir Somnath district of Saurashtra. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel had unfurled the tricolour and witnessed the impressive march past.
AIR correspondent reports that a series of development projects have been launched on this occasion. The 73rd Republic day is being celebrated throughout the state under strict Covid19 protocols. The state level function was held at historic place – Somnath in Gir Somnath district of Saurashtra. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has unfurled the tricolour amidst the showers of rose petals by the Air force helicopters. Gujarat Jail Police platoon, Marine commando platoon and women police platoon of Junagadh remained the main attractions of the impressive march past. The horse and Dog show also remained the centre of attraction. Yog Specialist Divyang girl and Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar winner Anvi Zanzrukia were felicitated by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on this occasion.
