More than 124 crore 10 lakh COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. Health Ministry said, over 80 lakh 98 thousand doses were administered yesterday.
India reported over eight thousand nine hundred new cases during the last 24 hours. India’s Active caseload stands at 99 thousand 23 and it is less than a lakh after 547 days. Active cases account for less than one per cent of total cases and it is currently at 0.29 per cent, lowest since March last year.
The Ministry said, the recovery rate is currently at 98.36 per cent and it is highest since March last year. Over ten thousand people recovered in the last 24 hours and total recoveries touched three crore 40 lakh 28 thousand 506.The weekly positivity rate currently stands at 0.84 per cent which is less than one per cent for the last 17 days. Daily positivity rate is at 0.81 per cent which is less than two per cent for last 58 days.
The number of deaths due to the pandemic has reached four lakh 69 thousand 247. In the last 24 hours, 267 deaths were reported.
Health Ministry said, till now, over 64 crore 24 lakh tests have been conducted across the country.
