Solapur : Ashwini Hospital and Medical College in Kumbhari has promoted medical research by implementing treatment schemes for the health of Vidy workers, school students and patients in Karnataka.
On behalf of Ashwini Medical College, the work of treatment and research on diseases of different ages has been continuously carried out in Solapur city. This medical college has focused on the issue of health of Vidi workers in Vidi Gharkul area. Students are continuously researching the nutrition, diet and diseases of these workers.
The college has linked various activities with the leprosy control program through MoU with the Municipal Corporation and Zilla Parishad. Therefore, an attempt is made to reduce the time between detection and treatment of patients with these diseases.
In the same way, the TB patient search campaign and treatment service is also going on in the same way. Students are contributing to the state and center control program of this disease.
Valsang Primary Health Center is attached to this college. Health services are also provided to patients in rural areas through these centres. It also contributes to the health, nutrition and routine check-ups of expectant mothers.
