NOTAM issued in Ukraine; The plane carrying the Indians returned halfway through

New Delhi: Russia has invaded Ukraine. Airports and military installations are being targeted. Against this backdrop, Ukraine has closed its airspace for security reasons. As a result, the plane that went to bring Indians is returning. An Air India flight from Ukraine to Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, but now it is returning to Delhi. A spokesperson for the airline said that Air India’s AI 1947 aircraft was returning. Because NOTAM has been issued in Kiev.
Ukrainian authorities have issued a notice to Airman. All civil aviation flights in Ukraine were banned on Thursday morning. Following the notice, Air India and the Central Government decided to recall the aircraft to Delhi. The plane took off in Iranian airspace to return to Delhi, officials said.
The flight to Ukraine started from Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi around 7.30 am. Meanwhile, a Ukraine International Airlines flight from Kiev landed at Delhi Airport at 7.45 am. Anju Waria, Director, STIC Group, said, “There were 182 civilians on board and most of them were students. Some more planes will go to bring the Indians. ‘
Russia’s military action has created tensions between the two countries. Russia has also attacked Ukraine’s airbase, according to AFP. Ukraine, on the other hand, claims to have shot down five Russian planes and a helicopter in Luhansk province. This has sparked war in both the countries.
