Kashmir is known for many beautiful places, but the most spectacular attraction here is the Tulip Garden. As the new tourist season begins in Kashmir, Asia’s largest tulip garden will be opened for tourists from March 19. Situated on the banks of Dal lake, this garden is different. In 2021, Prime Minister Narendra Modi advised people to visit this garden.
This year too, as the tourist season begins, people have started reaching Jammu and Kashmir. This tulip garden will be open from March 19 to April 20. There are more than 15 lakh tulips in this garden –
Asia’s largest tulip garden is situated in the lap of Jabarwan mountain range. The garden has 60 species and more than 15 lakh colorful tulips. Such colorful flowers have made the Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden one of the major tourist attractions of Srinagar.
The number of tourists is increasing –
Every year after the opening of the park, there is a huge crowd of local citizens and tourists on the first day. Many cultural and musical events are also organized here. Apart from tulips, other species of flowers are also grown here, such as – daffodils, hyacinths and ranunculus.
The garden will be open for one month only-
If you want to visit this garden, keep in mind that this garden is not open all year round. It will only be open for 1 month, so you better plan to see this beauty as soon as possible. The entry fee here is Rs 50 for adults and Rs 25 for children, which you can visit anytime between 7 am to 7:30 pm.

Now if you are going to Srinagar then apart from seeing tulip garden you can visit places like Sundar Dal Sarovar, Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, Chashme Shahi, Pari Mahal, Shankaracharya Temple, Hari Parbat, Baramulla. The best time to visit Srinagar is from March to October. During this time it is not very cold here and you can walk comfortably.
