Prashant Kishor has said he charges a minimum of Rs 100 crore for election strategy consulting. He also said governments in 10 different states are running on his strategies.
Ahead of the upcoming by-elections on four assembly seats in Bihar, Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor has revealed he charges a minimum of Rs 100 crore as fee for advising any political party or leader as an election strategist. The revelation came while the political strategist-turned-activist was addressing a gathering in Bihar’s Belaganj on October 31.
He also asserted no one charges a fee equivalent to him in the entire Bihar, also claiming that the government of nearly 10 states are running on the strategies formulated by him.
“Do you think I won’t have enough money to set up tents and canopies for my campaign? Do you think I’m that weak? In Bihar, no one has heard of fees like mine. If I advise someone in just one election, my fee is Rs 100 crore or even more,” Kishor said.
“For the next two years, I can continue to fund my campaign with just one such election advice,” he added.
“Government in 10 different states are running on my strategies,” Prashant Kishor told the gathering.
A day before, on October 30, Kishor had urged the people of Bihar to give up supporting political parties in the name of ‘jaat‘ (caste) and ‘bhaat‘ (free ration), blaming the voting behaviour for the state’s chronic backwardness.
For the upcoming by-elections, Mohammad Amjad is Jan Suraaj’s candidate from Belaganj, Jitendra Paswan from Imamganj, Sushil Kumar Singh Kushwaha from Ramgarh, and Kiran Singh from Tarari.
The by-elections are scheduled for November 13, with results to be declared on November 23. The four seats include Belaganj, Imamganj, Ramgarh, and Tarari.
On October 2, Prashant Kishor officially launched his new political party, “Jan Suraaj Party,” in Patna.
At the launch event, Kishor said that the party has been active for the past two years and recently received approval from the Election Commission of India.
With the Election Commission’s nod, the Jan Suraj Party is now expected to contest in all constituencies in the Bihar assembly elections next year.
Earlier, Prashant Kishor announced that the party would contest elections on all 243 seats out of which there will be 40 women candidates from the party to be formed.
The assembly elections in Bihar are likely to be held in October-November 2025.
