IMD predicts normal to above-normal rainfall in most part of India

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted normal to above normal rainfall over most areas of central India and adjoining south peninsular and east India and some areas of Northeast and Northwest India for this month. It also forecasts normal to above-normal minimum temperatures over most parts of the country during the period. However, below-normal minimum temperatures are also likely over northwest India.

The weather agency further said that isolated Heavy to Very Heavy falls is very likely over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Bihar, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Coastal Karnataka and Kerala during the next four days. It added conditions are favourable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon into remaining parts of Rajasthan and Haryana and Punjab.
