More than 218 crore 68 lakh vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive. Of them, a total of 21 crore 33 lakh Precaution Doses have been administered to the eligible beneficiaries so far. The Health Ministry said, over 16 lakh 29 thousand doses were administered in the last 24 hours including 14 lakh 39 thousand precaution doses. During the same period, 3 thousand 805 new COVID cases were reported in the country.
The country’s active caseload currently stands at 38 thousand 293 and it is at 0.09 percent. The recovery rate is currently at 98.73 percent. A total of 5 thousand 69 people have recovered in the last 24 hours and with this, the total recoveries touched over four crore 40 lakh. The Ministry said, the Weekly Positivity Rate stands at 1.39 percent and the Daily Positivity Rate is at 1.29 percent.
A total of more than 89 crore 53 lakh COVID tests have been conducted in the country so far. In the last 24 hours, around 2 lakh 95 thousand tests were conducted.
