Indian Navy contingent joins Seychelles Defence Force for Independence Day celebrations

indiannavyIndian Navy contingent joined the personnel of the Seychelles Defence Force and the citizens of Seychelles for the Independence Day celebrations recently. INS Kolkata, an indigenously built Stealth Guided Missile Destroyer of the Indian Navy, was deployed to Port Victoria of Seychelles to coincide with Independence Day on 29th June. It was dressed overall to mark the ceremonial occasion. A marching contingent of Indian Navy personnel along with a Musical Band joined the Military Parade held at the Unity Stadium at Roche Caiman yesterday. The deployment marked sustained participation of Indian Military Contingent in the Seychelles National Day since 1976.
