Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Kargil has approved 233 crore rupees Capex Budget for the year 2022-23. Kargil Hill Council held its General Council meeting on Monday in Kargil.
AIR correspondent report that amidst political developments last week, Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Kargil has approved 233 crore rupees Capex Budget for the current fiscal. General Council chaired by CEC Feroz Ahmed Khan has also approved 25 crore rupees under subsidy component for Kargil district. The budget comprises 100.57 crore rupees for engineering sector and 132.7 crore for non-engineering sector.
Kargil Deputy Commissioner and LAHDC, Kargil, CEO Santosh Sukhadeve said that out of allotted 208.32 crore rupees, an amount of 196 crore was spent on various developmental schemes and welfare programs in the district. In the General Council, CEC Khan said the major focus of LAHDC Kargil will be on completion of ongoing works in different sectors. The Council also passed resolutions including the issue of tourism trade registration, residence certificate for gazetted posts of UT Ladakh, creation of a separate head for the strengthening of PRI institutions, and a mitigation plan to tackle drought situation in the district.
