Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope has said the state is considering to resume schools for classes from 1- 7, though a possibility of third wave cannot be ruled out. Speaking to media today Mr Tope said the state is considering reopening of schools from class 1 to 7 and also going ahead with preparations for starting vaccination of children aged 12-18 years.
AIR correspondent reports that Health Minister Rajesh Tope said child task force has given its nod for opening of schools from class 1-7 and a final decision would be taken after the approval from the Chief Minister. He said the state is also preparing for vaccination of children between 12 to 18 years of age. The Minister has not ruled out possibility of a third wave of the pandemic however said that it won’t be severe like the previous ones. He said right now there is no other Corona variant other than the delta variant. Mr Tope said vaccination would help in a big way to control the third wave and added the state is trying its best to complete 100 per cent first dose vaccination.
