In Madhya Pradesh, voters of 100 years or above are being honoured by the State Election Commission on International Day of Older Persons in the state today.
State Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan said in Bhopal today that Older Persons, centenary voters are being honored at their residence. He informed that Booth level officers-BLO and employees of state election commission are visiting their house and honouring them. In his address, Mr. Rajan said that our elderly voters will surely inspire the youth and they will also take part in the voting with great enthusiasm.
Chief Election Commissioner of Election Commission of India Rajiv Kumar, Election Commissioner Anoop Chandra Pandey, and other officials virtually participated in the program from New Delhi.
There are 4 thousand 168 old people 100 years or more in Madhya Pradesh. Of which, 1 thousand 128 are male voters and 3 thousand 40 are female voters.
