Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance invests Rs 6 lakh crore in Gujarat

New Delhi: Reliance Industries Group will now invest heavily in a number of other projects, including green energy. Reliance informed on Thursday. Reliance will invest a total of Rs 5.95 lakh crore in green energy and some other projects in Gujarat in the next 10 to 15 years. This will include the development of a green hydrogen ecosystem with one lakh MW of renewable energy projects in the state. The investment will be Rs 5 lakh crore.
Rs 60,000 crore will be invested in solar photovoltaic modules, electrolyzers for hydrogen production, batteries for energy storage, fuel factories, etc. Apart from this, about Rs 25,000 crore will be invested in ongoing and new projects in the next five years, Reliance said.
Reliance is also in the process of converting Geo to 5G. Rs 7,500 crore will be invested in five years to transform their own telecom network into 5G. It has also proposed an investment of Rs 3,000 crore in Reliance Retail. Reliance has signed an investment agreement for the Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2022. Reliance also said that an investment agreement worth around Rs 6 lakh crore has been signed with the Gujarat government. Reliance’s investment is expected to create around one million jobs in Gujarat.
In consultation with the Gujarat government, the company has started looking for land in Kutch, Banaskantha and Dholera for projects with a capacity of 1 lakh MW. In this, Reliance has demanded 4.5 lakh acres of land in Kutch from the state government.
