Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that this year’s budget has a blueprint for developing a vibrant ecosystem for research, design, and development to manufacturing within the country. He said, about 70 percent of the defense budget has been kept for domestic industry.
While addressing a webinar titled Aatmanirbharta in Defence – Call to Action this morning, Mr. Modi said, when we bring weapons from outside, its process is so long that by the time they reach our security forces, many of them have become outdated. He said, its solution lies in Self-reliant India campaign and Make in India.
