Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya today visited Safdarjung Hospital to review the Covid mock drill and other preparedness of health facilities to deal with any spurt in COVID-19 cases in the country.
Talking to the media after the visit, the Health Minister Mandaviya assured that the country is fully prepared to deal with any eventually, if Covid cases increases in the country.
He added that today mock drills are conducted across covid hospitals in the country to make sure people get proper treatment.
Mr Mandaviya said such exercises would help country ‘s operational readiness and help in filling gaps if any.
He said these exercises will also consequently strengthen the country’s public health response.
Speaking to All India Radio News, Medical Superintendent Safdarjung Hospital’s Dr. B.L. Sherwal said the minister visited the facility today and was satisfied with its 44 beds of amenities. He said that under one roof, patients will have access to all the necessary services from COVID test to treatment. Mr Sherwal also urged the people to follow all appropriate Covid behaviour.
A nationwide Mock drills are being conducted today across the country at all COVID hospitals to take stock of Covid preparedness.
The mock drills are intended to check the level of preparedness of the hospitals, in terms of equipment, procedure and human resources.
