Union Tourism Minister G. Kishan Reddy chaired a high-level meeting in Ahmedabad yesterday to review the preparations for G-20 meetings in Gujarat. The meeting was attended by State Tourism Minister Mulubhai Bera and officials of the Gujarat Tourism department. In the meeting, Mr. Reddy reviewed the necessary arrangements at various tourist places of the state including Dholavira, and Dhordo in view of the visit of G-20 representatives and made necessary suggestions.
Mr. Reddy also sought the status of various cultural and tourism projects of the state such as ‘Gujarat Vandana Museum’ and ‘Museum of Royal Kingdom project. He was briefed by officials of the Archaeological Survey of India about the ongoing archaeological survey and excavations in Vadnagar, Vadodara and Rajkot. The Minister was also informed about the various ongoing projects at tourist places Somnath, Dwarika, and Pavagadh being developed with the help of the Central Government.
