Uttarakhand: Orange and yellow alerts issued for heavy rains in all districts of Garhwal and Kumaon regions till August 24

In Uttarakhand, the State Meteorological Department has issued orange and yellow alerts for heavy rains in all districts of Garhwal and Kumaon regions till 24th of this month.
The weather Department has issued an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall in Dehradun, Pauri, Tehri, Bageshwar, Champawat and Nainital during this period.
The department has also predicted yellow weather warning of moderate to heavy rain at isolated places in other districts of the state.
Meanwhile,over 150 rural roads of the state have been blocked for vehicular traffic due to landslides. Efforts are being made to restore them on war footing.
It may be recalled that due to torrential rains, there has been heavy damage to roads, bridges and houses in the hilly areas of the state.
