In Wimbledon Tennis, the Men’s Doubles pre-quarterfinal match between Indian-Australian pair Rohan Bopanna and Matthew Ebden and Dutch-American combination of David Pel and Reese Stalder is underway in London.
In Women’s Singles quarterfinal, Ukraine’s Elina Svitolina, ranked 76th in the world, shocked top-seeded Iga Swiatek of Poland 7-5, 6-7, 6-2. Svitolina will now face Marketa Vondrousova from the Czech Republic for a place in the finals. Vondrousova defeated fourth seed Jessica Pegula of America, 6-4,2-6,6-4 in the other quarterfinal clash.
In Men’s Singles, defending champion and second seed Novak Djokovic of Serbia is currently facing seventh seed Andrey Rublev of Russia in the clash of the last eight. The other quarterfinal match between Italian eight-seed Jannik Sinner and Roman Safiullin of Russia is also underway.
